What's a good filter for a 180?

I thought of using a pond filter....would this be effective?

Plecos, two senegal bichirs, and a sorubim lima. Substrate will be about 1" or less of sand.

FILTER, try a RENA FILSTAR XP1--> UP TO 250GAL'S an hour GREAT FILTER around $65.00 better yet RENA FILSTAR XP3-->350GAL hr SUPER PUMP around $100.00
