What syno's are these?

Post by CatBrat »

Hi,

I have two syno's that I don't know what species they are. I asked about the first one in March, but they were unsure. It has since almost doubled in size and is about 10-12cm now. My other one is about 6cm and was sold to me as a Polk-a-dontis, my LFS is not very bright when it come to fish  , but they are very nice. Anyway heres some pictures -

BTW, I'm sorry about the awful pictures.

First one looks like a . Nice looking fish.

Dunno about the second one. Reminds me of some weird hybrids I have seen, but I don't want to call your fish one without being certain.

The second fish looks like the one in thread, which I identified as either a hybrid or S. rebeli.
I think it's more likely the former.

Thanks a lot for the help guys :D I might post a couple more pictures in a few months to see if we can't sort out a more definate id for them.

BTW, do you/anyone out there have any info on the two fish, Synodontis aterrimus and Synodontis rebel? Any thing would be great.

Cheers, CatBrat.
