"Wels" as a Scrabble word: Upper or lower case?

Unlike "oto," I was allowed to get away with this one, but if it's upper case it would be illegal.
It isn't in the official Scrabble dictionary--that could be bad news. Any thoughts?

lower case as it's a common name . . .
