white fungus

Any one please help.....i have a male bristle nosed pleco, and on his face covering one eye and down to his barbs he has got a white fungus looking growth, it almost looks like snal eggs, any one know what it is??????

Probably lymphocystis.

As per your description, this should be fungus. Fungus will develop on fish skin when the protein content is very high because of too much un-eaten food left. High nitrite/nitrate level will also weaken the immune systems of fishes.

I suggest you to change 30% of water and thencure the disease using an effective and safe medicine namely Sera Mycopur. Dosage should be 70% of the Sera recommended dosage. The fungus should be gone on day 3 of the treatment. If the fungal ball is too large, you can remove it manually by hand before the treatment.

During the treatment, no water conditioner, UV, or charcoal should be present.
No one gets left behind!!!!
