I'm not sure about the species of one of my Synodontis. Some pictures of S. polli found in the www are nearly similar, but some of the S. petricola as well. What do you think?
I'm really wondering...
Interests: African catfishes and oddballs, Madagascar cichlids; stoner doom and heavy rock; old school choppers and riding them, fantasy novels, travelling and diving in the tropics and all things nature.
dwarfs have a white or light dorsal spine, and a dark dorsal fin.
this one has the doirsal fin patterned a bit like "polli white", but the rest is different.
and it's also quite 'bumby shaped'; radiating "hybrid" in any direction
Hi sidguppy, thank you for your comment.
My Syno seems to be a very special variant...
But how arise these strange forms? How likely is crossbreeding in the Synodontis species? How likely is the possibility of a new, unknown species?
