Need Id on this pleco

What kinda pleco is this...i was thinking Glyptopericthys gibbiceps, but im not sure....

Sorry HH but I think its a common, they have this Gibby look when young.
Clear shot of the head would be good.

ya I'll get a better pic of the head....I wouldnt really consider him young though...he is 7" ish long and I've had him for a year and a half

Gibby or common 7" is small for an adult so you may so some more growth. :lol:

Nah, definitely a gibby. Too large a dorsal fin for a common.

whats really weird is he has these 1/4 - 1/8' bristly hairs growing out of his front horizontal fins....just noticed that after seing them on another fish...and his coloring isnt as circular as the ones in the pictures, his color ends in broken lines more often than circles...and you can see in the first picture his head is VERY pointy when looking at him from the side.
