Is my plec being nasty?

Hi I have a spotted plec, who up until now has been living peacefully with my 4 inch goldfish who I have had for 7 years, but just lately he has started to try and attached himself to my goldfish with his mouth, does anyone know why he is doing this, is he being nasty and attacking the goldfish. My goldfish is really laid back and just swims away from him, can anyone help???

I have heard of this posted around fish forums a few times now,Your plec is sucking the slimecoat from your goldfish,Probably better if you could move one of them ?

Thanks for that, the only problem is I have nowwhere to move any of them as I only have one tank.??

Do you know anyone with a pond ? Could you swap him for another catfish at your LFS ?
