Anyone know what catfish are found here in San Diego area? Caught a few fry and they are growing to 1.5". Bottom whiskers are white. Interesting aquarium fish. Thanks. -John

Most of the common large ictalurid catfishes have been introduced to California.

Your fish may be one of the following species:

Ameiurus catus
A. natalis
Ictalurus furcatus
I. punctatus


Is the caudal fin forked or rounded? If the latter, then it's a yellow bullhead (). If the former, then it's one of the other three. A picture will help.
