Got two new plecos today, a Royal and a Gold Nugget, both about 3-4". So I took some pics of my 110g tank.

Yes, excellent pics. If you would care to email a selection to [email protected], I think many of them would find their way into the cat-elog - where credit is always given to contributing photographers.

It's the field of focus that's so good - I've tried on and off for years to get that shot of a pictus and haven't even come close. As with Yann, I'd be interested to hear of kit, technique etc.

Nothing to do with the fact I hope to buy a new digicam in October...

He-he, thanks, guys. two versions

short one: check out APF, if you are serious about pics. We help 100s of fish people who want to take good pics. that is all we do.

long one: I use a Sony 717 ditigal cam. Standard equipment, no special lenses. All manual features, including, white balance, aperature, shutter speed. I have great lighting. On this particular tank (i have 8

), it's a JBJ Formosa 4x65w Compact flourescent daylight bulbs. almost 300 w of pure white daylight. Lets me use about 1/60 - 1/100 shutter speed, with ISO 100 (which makes it less grainy) and Flourescent white balance. Quick shutter speed is the key, it took me so long to get good pictus shots.
