intestinal blockage - epson salt???

intestinal blockage - epson salt???

Does anyone know what the dosage is for epson salt to treat intestinal blockage in plecos or is there another method?

I would start with 1 level teaspoon for every 2.5 gallons. The normal level for fancy goldfish is 1 teaspoon for every gallon.

Are you sure it's an intestinal problem? symptoms?

The only reason I think It might have intestinal blockage is that it has not eaten in 3 or 4 days and its stomach is round, it is a LDA33. Its in a tank with other 33s, 177s, 46, and others who are eating fine. Water parameter is ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 40ppm, and pH 6.8. I generally see them all eat when I feed them any time of the day.
