Equipment needs are a far cry from live fish purchases, which is what I had originally assumed you were asking about. A wee bit of clarification wasn't so terribly painful, was it?
I personally order from http://www.petsolutions.com usually.

Thatpetplace, Big Al's and occasionally Dr. F&S. TPP has the advantage of being a stones throw away, so stuff usually arrives the next day even with ground shipping. Big Al's is always cheaper, especially since they price match, but they always manage to screw orders up in one way or another. Fourtunately they are nice about replacements and atoning for their mistakes, but still a pain to find that the light bulbs you ordered are broken, the bottle of fertilizer leaked etc. etc.

well, I guess it's to late now. I've placed an order of fluval 404 from BigAls. it cost me 99.94 with shipping, so it's a nice deal(for comparison my local Petland charges 170$). I just hope it'll arrive not broken or any other model instead. their shipping is 9. something$. Rusty can you recall how fast it gets to NY? they don't specify what kind of shipment it's going to be. Thanks!
