Any Info on a strange Cory??
Hi!
While visiting an importator here in Lausanne, I came across a strange Corydoras.
The body was similar to the species of the elegans group but slightly higher...
The overal body had a bronze sheen, the shoulder was rather orange, the head was darker...
According to the guy they were imported from Manaus form the Company Corydoras and more...
Any one know what is it. A vild species or some sort of Hybrid...
In advance thanks
Cheers

Hi!
Well thanks to H.-G. Evers who put me on thright track, suggesting they could be C. eques...
After searching for a few pictures, I cam across:
these
On the website (I love Corydoras), they are labelled as "Super-Eques"...
Any idea if it is just a color morph, a sub species, a new species...
Where are they suppose to come from?
I bought 7 of them for 30 Euros, really think it is a good deal...
Cheers

Yann,
Like many Corys they will have some variance throughout their range and even within a population.
