Help Choosing A Catfish

Post by corrosive »

Hi, i was just wondering (hoping), is there a catfish which i can put in a 2ft by 1ft by 1ft tank, and not have to worry about it oversizing the tank?

Thanks!

Plenty!

Corydoras (pygmaeus, hastatus,habrosus, leucomelas, metae etc -any not bigger than 5 cm), Aspidoras (ditto as Cory's), Otocinclus, Parotocinclus, Lampiella, Schizolecis, Microsynodontis, Bunocephalus verrucosus, Centromochlus perugiae, Hylaobagrus flavus, Rama chandramara, Hara jerdoni (picky eater, a bit fragile), Microglanis iheringi, Kryptopterus minor.

All these will show up in the LFS, and most are very easy to keep!

of course you have to pick 1 or a few species and keep them as a small group!
some do fine as single; Bunocephalus for example;
others should be kept as a group anyway: Kryptopterus, Otocinclus and Corydoras for example.

NOT ALL TOGETHER!
