The situation 48x18x18 planted tank w
1 common plec (large) 1 Gibby (large) 2 male 2 female common ancis. 1 Leopard Plec (L114), 1 red tailed lasiancistrus (L128), 1 Flounder Plec (L168 or L052 not sure), 2 Lemon plecs (small) (L 075) 6 ottos and 1 twig cat species unknown.
Obviously things are getting a little crowded, although they all seem to get on ok and are fit and healthy (feeding times are like watching a brawl in progress)...
The Plan...
Keep the 48" and Set up a planted Discus tank 36x24x18 beside it !
stage 1. Get permission from her indoors (complete, thats the hardest part out of the way)
stage 2. Decide which plecs are suitable / desireable to move over...
So finally my question...
If i was to set up this tank and have maybe 12 - 15 tetras (prob cardinal, or black neons) 8 - 10 cory cats (sterbai probably) and 4 or 5 young discus which of my plec list would be most suited to moving in with my discus ?
Alternatively I have found 2 gold nuggest (L177) in LFS
or Id like to get some royal (panaque) or perhaps Zebras if they are suitable and i have a sudden windfall as they are real expensive down here (New Zealand).
If the best should happen and I end up with a pari of discus that breed, are there any plecs that would leave the eggs alone ? or am I dreaming ???
