what kind of cat is this?

Post by rikbar »

Hi, this is my first post here, just started getting into cats, I have been keeping fish for about 2 years and love it. I was wondering if you guys could help me out or not. Here is a pic of this cat and I was wondering if someone could id it for me. I think it is Anaspidoglanis macrostoma, but told that it wasn't .
Thanks for your time.

Looks like Anaspidoglanis macrostoma to me.
OTOH, the pictures aren't clear enough for me to completely rule out Parauchenoglanis guttatus.
Got a better side shot?

OK, looking at the dorsal view, the shape of the occipital process (that pointy thing towards the end of the head) suggests Parauchenoglanis.
Parauchenoglanis guttatus it is.
