Is the tank getting any sunlight? How long are you leaving the tank lights on? Does it have any plants in it? Those answers will help us to help you :)

The tank isnt getting any sunlight as I have made sure its out of the sun, I have 2 lights one aqua-glo & one sun-glo, which go on together, the lights are on for about 8-9 hours a day starting at midday. I have a few plants only baby ones though. I have been feeding my fish twice a day one large plec tablet & one small sinking tablet, so Ihave 4 tablets a day going in the tank, do you think I am feeding them too much??

You are definitely feeding them too much, IMO. I would cut back to just what they can eat in a minute and 1/2 a pleco wafer every other day. How long has your tank been set up? Do you have the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate readings?

My tank has been up and running for about 6 months now & I havent had any problems till now, although I did used to feed them just once a day, as they eat it all. I know this may seem bad but I have never done any nitrate readings or anything on my tank, just never seemed the need for it as I have never had any problems with the water before. I do a water change every week religiously and I add nutrafin CYCLE,AQUA plus & WASTE CONTROL.
