how to tell when cory's are healthy

Post by garry35 »

hi everybody sorry for the newbie question, i have been keeping different tropicals for a few years now (mainly community) with the occasional cory or plec, but i would like to know how its possible to tell when catfish are in good health because unlike other fish catfish look pretty much the same to the untrained eye.....

Following are some good guidlines when looking for healthy cats. The eyes should be clear, (not sunken in) fins erect, normal respiration( no labored breathing} and a full stomach.

And also active movements... they should not be sluggish or swimming in any odd manners

There should be metalic color shinny on somepart of the body if it is the a healthy cory!

A unhealthy one doesn't have that color.
