Amblydoras hancockii

Coincidentally I finally succeed in getting one of these just before the Feb. CotM. I would have liked more, but there was only one. Would keeping him with a couple of Spotted talking (Agamyxis) of similar size make up for lack of conspecifics? I can get them easily enough.

Hi!

I dont have hancockii but i have 3 Doradidae sp (Petalodoras?) along with 2 Agamyxis pectinifrons and they get along quite well from what i can tell...they at least share hiding places. Imho yours will be ok although more than one would be better...
cheers

We had some talking cats in december I will let you know if we get any in the near future. We also kept them with the spotted dora ( I only call angel cats S angelicus ) and some raphael cats no obvious fighting but the tank nearly bubbles at feeding time.

That's good news, because I've just got a spotted and a Raphael to keep with my Hancock's. A mixed shoal seems like a reasonable compromise.
