how many is "ok" in a 55 gallon tank

i know 2 is fine but what if i neded up with 4

is 4 2 many even though they dont get 2 big?

4 will be just fine, as long as the tank isn't overstocked with other fish and you intend to feed them extra veggies when they keep the tank so clean they are going hungry :)
