Post by megladonsharky »

:? Hello my name is Megladonsharky .
Please help me find some proper plecos and or other catfish for my 8 gallon tank with snails ghost shrimp a very passive male betta and two white clouds.

From the lfs they told me 2-3 cory(sp?) cats or 2 pitbull plecos ....

I am moveing this group into an 10 gallon soon as i get it squeky clean , it is a used one.. I will then put one male betta ( a differentone slighty more agrresive but not typical betta either ) in the 8 gallon.

Any ideas for a 3.5 gallon ?? only one plakat female.

Help please ... and i hope I put this in the right place

8 gallon would be about 30 liters or so?

me thinks that tank is well and full with just 3-5 Cory's or so.

you might squeeze in some guppies or similar to settle the Cory's (small, peaceful ditherfish are a pre).

and adding any Bulldogpleco (Chaetostoma spp) is way over the top; these need bigger tanks.
they're highly territorial too; and can only be kept together in small groups (never 2; bad number for territorial fish) in sizeable tanks.
