New genus and species of Erethistidae

Ng, HH and M Kottelat, 2005. Caelatoglanis zonatus, a new genus and species of the Erethistidae (Teleostei: Siluriformes) from Myanmar, with comments on the nomenclature of Laguvia and Hara species. Ichthyological Exploration of Freshwaters, 16: 13-22.

Just a quick note here if you do not want to read the abstract. This paper (besides describing Caelatoglanis zonatus) removes Laguvia as an available name (it is now an objective junior synonym of Hara).

The small "bee catfishes" from India are now in Pseudolaguvia.

Is this a "commonname" for the Hara type of fishes or different kind altogether? If not, do you know the location of any pictures of these?

May I thus presume that there are as of now:
Pseudolaguvia shawi and Pseudolaguvia cf. shawi (formerly known as Laguvia cf. shawi)?

As of now there are:

Pseudolaguvia kapuri
Pseudolaguvia ribeiroi
Pseudolaguvia shawi
Pseudolaguvia tenebricosa
Pseudolaguvia tuberculata

plus a whole bunch of undescribed material.

Only P. ribeiroi and P. shawi are encountered with some regularity in the aquarium trade.

That leaves me with a problem.
If the species which was thus far named Laguvia cf. shawi (see CateLog) is now called Pseudolaguvia shawi, what is or will be the name of the species so far known as P. shawi (see CateLog also)? Obviously two different species.
Since two weeks I have both of them (again) in one of my tanks (don't worry, the crayfish are gone!). They came in one batch, wrongly named Glyptothorax asperus.
Could you shine your light once more HH?

The species identified as Pseudolaguvia shawi in the Cat-eLog is an undescribed species that we caught in India. The manuscript describing this species has just been submitted for publication. Those in the Cat-eLog identified as P. cf. shawi are the true P. shawi.
