This is a unique and amazing thing, you've pulled off!

I don't recall ANYbody breeding any Erethistid, Sisorid or Akysid for that matter.....

at the least, no one bothered to put any article or proof/pics about a feature like this.
did you witness any spawning behaviour?
eggs? parental care or nesting?

and did you deliberately trigger the spawnings, or it just happened, sort of?

burning with curiosity, I am

a true pioneering event, for certain!

feel free -hint hint- to elaborate on this, and please be as long winded as you dare get away with

You forgot Achim and Akysis vespa. I think he also managed to breed Hara filamentosa.

never heard about that Magazine either.
I'm familiar only with Datz (as far as German aquaristic magazines go), and that's notoriously hard to get over here (save driving to Germany and buying it there), let alone this one.

do they publish on the web?

I a few years ago bred another type of erethistidae
and published how I spawned them in the catfish study groups journal.(june 2003). I first spawned them in april 2002 but wanted to make sure that I had spawned them by design and not as a accedental spawning, and that my observations and notes were correct.at the time I published the article as breeding Hara Jerdoni although they were clearly not them,, but at the time i did this in order to try and get a bit of a debate going on the species. here,s a pic of the adult and young

I recently bought 5 Hara Catfish at the local petstore by chance. I welcome all help on the matter. I want to post some very good macro shots of the cats, but I don't see how to post pics.

There's an FAQ entry [Under the "Help!" menu on the top right of the screen] and a Sticky in the "What catfish is this?" section, both help on how to post pictures. Essentially, you'll need to have the picture placed somewhere that it can be accessed on the web, before you can post it here...
