Breeding and careing for syno petricola

Post by jd_7655 »

Hi all I just picked up 6 juvinal syno petricola that I plan on raising to adulthood and I have some questions for all the pro's out there on breeding and careing for them. My first question is will six juvinals be enough to breed them sucsessfully? If not what would be the the best number to start with? What are some foods that will help with growth? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I bought my petricola's about 3 years ago, and was told by the breeder that they were about a year old when I when I got them. They just spawned for the first time about 6 weeks ago, and are spawning every 3 weeks so far. I just got my 3rd batch of eggs today. My group looks to be 6 males 3 females. I feed mine micro worms until they can eat crushed up flake food, which takes about a month. It's hard to count them but it looks close to 30 some fry in each tank.
