Not specifically catfish, but of Mexican habitats. Does anyone know when the Blind cave form of the tetras begin to displace the seeing mexican tetras?
Anything else about them? I'm just thinking of a rather odd biotope type set up... but details seem rather sparse.

I read an article about them in June's Natural History. It's called "Why Do Cave Fish Lose Their Eyes" by Luis and Monika Espinasa. This article was absolutely facinating. I couldn't find a link to it online, unfortunately. I'd recommend trying your local library if you can. It's the issue with some very cute lemurs on the cover.
