I'm not so sure if keeping the light on constantly is such a good idea. This may invite algae growth. A simple timer, about $5-$8 American from any hardware store can help you with this. Placing the lights on timers is important. This way, you've got consistant lighting. Mats has given you some good advice about adding fish slowly. It's so tempting to add them all at once. But, this will stress the fish.

You can get common plants for free from fellow hobbiest at this site. Just post that you are looking for some cutting to start a new tank and you will have more plants than you know what to do with.... most people just ask that you pay for shipping. You need to join the forum to access the swap and shop area.

My rams spawned tonight. It was really quick. I have read that the male and female won't guard them until they hatch. Should I move the pair and their eggs into a breeding basket until they hatch so the cories won't eat them. What do you feed your cories. I have been feeding mine shrimp pellets but only the rams have been eating them. I am afraid that if they don't eat within a week they will die.
