L262 and L006

Post by Janne »

Earlier in the Cat-elog L262 was represented but not anymore, what was the reason to make the changes?

L006 P. oligospila Type locality Rio capin? They are distributed from Rio guama and Rio capim is the tributary to this river.
There are a river in Venezuela with the name Capin...can these rivers have been mix up or are there in the original description of this species a misspelling of the river?

You're right, the correct spelling should have been Capim, since Günther also states that the fish was collected in Pará state in Brazil (the locality is misspelled Capin by Günther).
