Pictured are my three LDA 33s. I've had them for about 18 months now. They were between two and three inches when got them from Julie at Frybabies. Now they are all close to six inches, sl. Wondering if they are old enough to sex? Based on the head shape I think the first is a male, the other two female.
Hi, what do you feed your LDA33? I got one for about 6 months now but grew only about 1/2"... Got mine around 3-1/2" now around 4". Are they aggressive with same species?
They get a very varied diet. Hikari Sinking Wafers, Algae Wafers and Sinking Carnivore Pellets. Just started them on "Pleco Power Pellets". I get them from a seller on Aquabid, username Sonic. All my plecs and cories love them. 55% protein from fish meal (no beefheart) and several veggies in them.
I also feed green and yellow squash, and raw shrimp. Plus any fruit or veggy that looks a little over ripe when I shop. Mango seems to be a favorite.
I do a lot of large (50%) water changes and have a lot of filtration and current. I run a pair of Emperor 400s and two sponge filters plus a 200 GPH powerhead on their 55 gallon.
They have grown very well for me and are very impressive fish. Lots of quality food and pristine water is all it takes. I just want to know what they really are, by species and sex. That top one is becoming very different than the other two.
