I have had this guy for about a month, I caught him on hook and line and after I got him home I noticed a white spot on his pectoral fin. What is it? Is it dangerious? He is with two pumpkseeds so I don't want to get them infected with something. Looks like a white head.
It is hard to see from the photos, but I have removed anchor worms from wild caught fishes that looked similar. Holding the fish carfuly, just remove the worm with tweezers. Dab some Meth Blue on a Q-Tip and dab the wound after treatment. If it just appears to be a small wound use the above Meth Blue treatment. The area will be dyed blue for a few days but this will go away with the wound.
