I'm sorry the pictures are bad. Always a challenge . . . the corys are light brownish grey with a distinct brown single dot pattern on their heads continuing down the body. The dorsal and tail is clear. There is a dark saddle shaped band that starts on their lower body. The golden glow near the head has been picked up by the camera but is not discernable when you look at the fish in normal lighting.

Fish are approximately one and three-quarters inch long right now. I do not know how old they are.

That's the cory all right. Would they be found in the same area as guapores?

Well, not the same river at least. The C. Similis comes from Rio Madeira, whilst C. Guapore comes from the river Guapore.

They aren't on the opposite side of the country, so they may very well come in from the same exporter for instance...
