Mosaic fishie stuff

Post by Barbie »

A friend of mine makes mosaics, and she made me a mirror a few months ago, to go in my newly painted office.

We had talked about a little half round table to go on the same wall under it, that I can place a small lamp on with some custom fish beads that another friend makes. Just in keeping with the theme in here, you know ;). This morning I get an email with this:

She really took the fish theme and ran with it! I was so impressed I had to share! Now if I can get another friend to make metal legs with a fish cut out or two I'll be truly over the top and can be committed safely! ;)

What? Not a catfish? I'm disappointed. :)

HAHAHA! Yeah, she sent me some patterns for different "types" of fish and the one I picked out was somewhat cichlidish. There were NO catfish styled ones. If I'd known it would turn out with that much detail, I'd definitely have given her a nudge down the pleco path ;) I had no idea she'd get that detailed!

Actually, it sort of looks like a Macropodus. Nice piece of work (it being a non-catfish notwithstanding).

I think she did a "splendens" job; to me it's a Betta.
