Aeneus interbreeding
Aeneus interbreeding
Can the different color varieties interbreed, and what's the party line on this if it's possible?

Some C. aeneus forms such as the albino and normal coloured variations will certainly interbreed, because they are in essence the same species. There are however some so-called 'Aeneus' types that are possibly distinct species in their own right that will not naturally cross breed. Foe example there are two types from Venezuela, one I consider the true C. aeneus, the other C. venezulanus which is still listed as a synonym of C. aeneus by science, which will not cross breed.
