urgent! are common plecos part of Mormyrids species?

urgent! are common plecos part of Mormyrids species?

i'm about to treat for white spot and the bottle says dont treat if tank contains Mormyrids. can i go ahead and treat? also, added aqua salt tonic to water. the plecos will be ok right? many thanks!

i've also just read that i should halve the dose if their are loaches in the tank. do common plecs fall under this category?

Mormyrids are elephant noses and the like, certainly not catfishes. Loaches are not catfishes either. Depends how much "salt tonic" you added, common plecos are pretty tough, they should be able to withstand some salt although it not something I ever used in nearly two decades of keeping fish in Edinburgh water.
