Water Values for Gymnallabes typus

Post by schnauzenfisch »

Hallo

Iam interested in the Water values of their natural habitats (Niger ,Cameroon ). I dont know much about their natural habitats (there no good desciptions in the net>> only small remarks). So i will be very glad if someone can help me out.
My 6 G. typus live in Water with a ph value 6,7-7 and 0,3ms electric conductance ,and there no signs of illnes (especially skin).
The Aquarium is a 260 liter (netto) tank ,with much driftwood to hide (mostly the G. typus crowded to gether in one understory), and sand as soil. They eat much tubifex ,red moskito larva ,mealybug larva and maggots . I feed them after lights shutdown (then they leave thier understory voluntarily ) once a day ,but often with 1 -2 days lent.
An always suprising fish and interesting to view...
kind regards
Mathias
