Unread posts

Post by Ryan S »

Hi,

I've got a query about unread posts disappearing.

When I visit the forum all the new posts since my last visit are denoted by the red emblem.

However, they do not remain red if I do not read them all before I exit the site.
Subsequently when I come back â?? I cannot tell which posts I have not read.

I hope Iâ??m making sense, and is there a way of displaying all unread posts? (not just new posts since last visit?)

Cheers,

Ryan

P.S. â?? Iâ??m really enjoying both the site and the forum atm, and itâ??s an invaluable source of infoâ?¦just wish Iâ??d found it sooner!

This is still happening....howver I think it's only when the forum freezes, and then I close the pane down. When I re-enter the forum, all the new posts are gone...

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Ryan

I think this is a default feature for the forums (and probably the default feature for all phpBB forums). When you exit (or force quit) your browser, any unread posts remaining will be marked as read when you next re-enter the forum.

Hmmm, that's a shame.

Guess I'll try and read the most interesting ones first - just in case!

Cheers,

Ryan
