Synodontis multipunctatus

Post by blairthebrave »

My local lfs has a Synodontis multipunctatus and i would like to know a bit more if you can help.
I have read about them on here and still have a question or 2.
1. In my lfs the multipunctatus is kept in a Ph of 7.2 (the same as my water) if,if i bought him (he is wonderful) would it be cruel to keep him in this Ph?
2. If it is ok, would he be ok with pictus?
Many thanks for reading

That's a tad low. I would increase it if I were you.

1. ph should be >7.6, ideally 7.8-8.2

2. Not to be recommended.

See the July 2002 CotM, http://www.planetcatfish.com/cotm/2002-07.htm
