Aquatics jobs

Post by whiteymoza »

Im going to college next year to study a BTEC national deploma in ornamental fish management what jobs besides working in an aquatics store can I get out of this? So many people are tellin me theres no money in it but if I dont do this I will regret it for the rest of my life and I want to be doing a job that I enjoy because you spend a third of your life sleeping and a third of your life working, so I might aswell get a job im interested in and enjoy.

sugestions?

You are correct when you should choose something you love. Yes, we all need to make a living. But, it's fantastic when you can combine the two. I chose architectural drafting. It may sound like a snoozer to most folks out there. But, I love buildings, I love detail and I can learn mundane things that drive most people to tears with boredom. So, what better career for a person like me?

Follow what you love. If you work hard (and that's the absolute key!) the sky's the limit. It won't be easy, but what on this earth is? Do what's best for you. Also remember, people have more than one career in their lives.

Whereabouts in the UK are you?
Which college have you applied to?
The Public Aquarium field in the UK is expanding, and there are frequently positions available, you need to know how and where to look for them though (which is where I'll be happy to help).
