blue eye red fin pleco?

blue eye red fin pleco?

This is another one of my plecos was sold as a red fin blue eyed pleco. Just want to confirm or if something eles. Also is this one releated in any way to the blue eyed pleco. (dark grey with blue eyes)? I have been looking for the grey and hard to find around hear. Heard lots of stories why and none of them to be the same story. lol. Anyone know if possible to find the blue eyed pleco?

The fish in your picture is one I used to know under the name of Cochliodon sp., which doesn't help you much because Cochliodon does no longer exist as a genus. I'd say: check the Cat-eLog or wait till a Pl*co lover shows up.
The Blue Eyed pl*co, Panaque suttonorum, is very rare because it is apparently almost extinct in the wild :(

The common name is Blue Eyed Red Fin Pleco.

Hi!

It belongs to the Hypostomus cochliodon species group.

Their needs are like Panaque species basically, they eat soft wood!

Regarding the rest( keeping, sexing breeding), it is like housing a common Hypostomus... quite enough has been written on these already
