I can find nothing on this little very light colored pl*co with thick black horizontal stripes. Perhaps it is a spelling error. Anybody hear of anything similarly spelled? I am getting the litte guy tonight, I will try to get a picture.

I think you are referring to an Atabapo pleco, which is a name used for this.

Thank you Silurus!!!

Although he looks oh so similar to the one in that link... he looks a little bit different. Not as many stripes on the pectorals, and not as many markings in the face... I have an old L numbers book from 1995,and there are two in there that look like my guy.(It is not in my possesion at the present moment...) Is there another guy similar with a "butterfly" name or are these two maybe the same and I just have a really old book, or maybe theres a few similar.... eeesh, I dont know. I'm confused.

is the other one known as butterfly pleco.
