Minimum Tank Size

Post by plattygirl »

Hi All
I'm looking to start a species tank for my clown pleco's (i have 4 of them) and wondered if a tank that is 76 cm long, 45cm wide & 33 cm high (it was custom made) would be enough room for them. Thanks :)

Should be ok, I have 4 young clowns in a 30x15x15 inch tank and 7 sub-adults in a standard 3 footer.
Just be prepared for regular water changes as they produce heaps of waste. :(

Good luck with them and make sure you post some pics once it's set up :D

Cheers

I agree, four should be fine in there.

Just be prepared for regular water changes as they produce heaps of waste.

Also make sure your power filters are up to the job. They will need regular cleaning with all the sawdust that the fish produce.
