Need Help Fast

I am the new owner of a property which had a pond stocked with 600 channel cats. The pond wasn't really finished prior to the previous owner stocking it with the cats. Now we are seeing catfish with various size white patches covering their heads. Some are large white patches.

These fish with the white patches on their heads are slowly dying and we live so far out that we can't get one to a fishery for examination any time soon.

I can get a picture if necessary.. but we'd really appreciate some fast help in identifing the problem..

600 Cat's that's a fair sized pond!

Pictures would be very good.

Are you able to do any water tests at all?

Thank you for the reply. No, unfortunately we've not been able to get the water tested yet. I've uploaded a picture. It starts at their head and by the time it hits there fins they die... any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
