Needing any and all info on L119 please

Post by Steph_D »

This is my first post, but after lurking for a while I've found this site very helpful. I love my corydoras!

Last week I bought a used 55g tank with a small pleco in it, the only fish left that hadn't sold. I put him in my 29g established tank, with all intentions of rehoming him because honestly, I'm not a huge fan of plecos. Just the other night he started coming out and I snapped a picture of him and asked what kind he was, on another board. Someone identified him as a L119, but I'm not finding any information on this kind of pleco (that's in English) online. Can anyone help me? I'm actually starting to like this guy and hope I can care for him properly.

Any information is appreciated, but what I'm most wanting to know is:
Will he do ok as an adult in a 55g tank?
How big should I expect him to get?
What's best to feed him?

Thank you for any help!

He will probaly max out at 25cm give or take a bit, a 55 is fine. Feed greens, corgett cucumber ect. A good quality pellet & algae wafer. Offer meaty foods as well, prawn mussels cockels etc. Sounds like a nice fish!
hmm somthing witty....
