Blackwater extract + Loricards

Post by Azmeaiel »

Hi, I was setting up several tanks containing a few killifish (breeding pairs) which have existing pairs of Bristlenose, and possibly later some L52's. I was wondering whether the blackwater extracts I would be adding would be beneficial/detremental to the Bristlenose. The brand I am using states it is for softwater/amazonian biotype tanks and helps create these conditions. contains peat extract. I just wanted to make sure it would be ok.

any help appreciated.

It certainly will not hurt them. I use varying amounts of blackwater extract in almost all my tanks. It makes the water look more natural to me and, unless you already have very soft acidic water, will not impact the tank's pH.
