CotM Syno mix up?

Post by sidguppy »

It says about Synodontis robertsi:
this species can be confused with the much larger Synodontis caudalis. Irrespective of the size and colouration of the fish, look to the eyes to tell these two similar species apart, S. caudalis has really large eyes in relation to this size of its head
That baffled me, because one look at tiny robertsi will show that if another fish with similar proportions has even bigger eyes, those would pop out like a frogs' eyes....

checked the pix on the larger S caudalis and that species has smaller eyes, not bigger.

Amazing, I even baffled myself. The correction has been made now, good spot, thanks.
