Pictus

Post by shef »

I have 1 pictus in my 70gal with some severums, tetras, and acaras. The tank recently went through a bought of ick. I lost 2 severums and 2 acaras. I thought I was also going to lose the pictus cat. He has made a full recovery except for one thing. He has lost some of his feelers (I'm sure this is not what they are called, I just don't know the actual name) On one side he only has about 3/4 of an inch and the other side is maybe an inch and half. Do they grow back?
70gal- 7 F1 Heros sp "guyana", 1 WC Aequidens diadema, 1 Aequidens tetramerus, 1 BN pleco, 1 pictus cat, 4 Diamond tetras
55gal- 1 oscar, 1 male honduran red point, 1 rapheal cat
30gal- 6 juvie Archocentrus cutteri, 2 red tailed goodeids, 1 female betta

Yes, they do. Pictus are more comfortable in a small group, so you might want to think about getting it some companions.

Thanks, I thought they would, but I wasn't sure. I didn't really care if they did or not, I'm just happy he didn't die!
I have thought about getting him some company but I'm not sure how many and I'm sure they'd cause problems if and when the severums spawn. How many would you go with?
