Elegans - rabauti hybrid?

Post by Reginator »

I was wondering if such a cross was possible, i've got a single example of each (leftovers from my LFS), male elagans and female rabauti. The elegans has been devoting a great deal of time to following the rabauti around and "dancing" next to her, tail pointed down and wiggling lots. She is very chunky looking at the mo, and seems quite happy with the attention, so is it possible that they will breed?

I would suggest purchasing more of each species and thus avoid any chance of them mating.

Cories come in waves here, many wild caught, and sometimes i only see a species once. These were "oddballs" in with another species entirely, and as such no-one bought them so I did. I'd love more of the rabauti, but nowhere near here has or can get them :(
