Something about light...
Hi´
In my fish room i have 20 tanks. There is a big window ( turning east ). The blind is not pulled down, so daylight comes in. On most of the tanks there is also a little lamp. Under thesee conditions i have spawned several corys. But im thinking of maby pull the blind down and only use one single light tube to the whole room. Now what do you guys use ? Let daylight come in or not ? What type of tubes / lights do you use ? Im thinking of spawning tanks, not some big tanks with a lot of plants and so.
Regards
Thomas.

light
i have wondered if other freshwater fish keepers think about how light can effect the aquarium. i have thought about switching lights to one that i see on marine tanks that simulates the different moon phases during the year using LED lights. don't know if this would be beneficial to freshwater fish, i would imagine the light just going out in a spit second must be shocking to the fish, and must take time to adjust to the sudden loss of light. i would be interested to hear what other people think.

Natural sunlight is a benefit Corydoras and other tropical fish. I bring fish outside my house in the summer and they put on size in a shout period of time. I know it is from the combination of natural sunlight and the live foods. Inside the house direct sunlight which can cause algae problems. Unfortunately my fish room has very little natural light.
