May,s meeting

Post by medaka »

Hi all

For all those that couldnâ??t make the meeting last Sunday. :(
You missed a little gem of a talk by our Treasurer Danny. :D
As was mentioned in a previous post the topic of discussion was African Catfish, Danny's talk not just dealt with Identifying synoâ??s but had a little bit of history thrown in. Danny showed us all some photoâ??s that he had taken of an Egyptian freeze that he noticed in one of the Pyramids whilst he and his wife was holidaying there one year, which clearly showed differing types of catfish being caught including synoâ??s and clariusâ??s. As with many talks on African catfish you always end up discussing
Mochokidae and Danny had a variety of photos of some of the rarer types on which everyone seemed to have a relevant input. Bob Barnes gave us all a little insight into how and some of the problems he has had to over come when he breeds his Synodontis petricolaâ??s; so come on Bob lets have an article for the journal.
The the topic on the agenda for the meeting in June is â??miniature catfishesâ??.
Hope to see you all there

‘Is it common?’
“It’s not unusual.” :YMTONGUE:
