Squash??

Squash??

Ok guys I just got a squash(yellow bulbous veg...or is it fruit??).Anyhoo how does one go about preparing it so be fed to lories?Its not a very common food around here(in fact this is the first time I have even seen one :lol:)

Out of these what will I expect to eat it?

Mango
Gold nugget(L177)
Chocolate zebra(I think)
Clown
Royal
Vampire
Bulldog
Bristlenose
Leopared pekoltia(I think)

Also will my clown loaches like it too?

Hi,

Wash the squash under cold water and cut a slice around 1", stick a spoon in it so it sink and put it in the tank.
A few of your fishes will eat it:
Mango if you mean L47
Gold nugget
Royal if you mean Panaque........
Maybe someone else but they will not occupied the squash.

That's pretty much the same thing I do with mine. I feed mine spagetti(sp) squash. Not all like it, but the wood-eaters seem to enjoy it especially. Just be sure not to leave it in too long. I find with the squash I feed, it stays nice and firm for about 12 hours, then turns to mush VERY quickly and makes a terrible mess of the tank, and get caught in the filter. For that reason I only give fairly small pieces.

Ok thanks guys I will put a small slice in after I do a waterchange.I'm pretty sure my gold nuggut will enjoy it too since he love cucumber and zuccini.
