Info on C. albolineatus?

Does anyone have any info on Corydoras albolineatus (temp, etc´.), as there seems to be practically nothing available, even when google-ing the species...

C. albolineatus was erroneously called C. xinguensis for many years, it comes from Rio Paragua system in Bolivia, where as C. xinguensis, which is a beeper bodied fish, comes from the Rio Xingu in Brazil. It grows to a little under 50 mm SL. (2")

Thank you for the info Ian. Have you spawned this species? I'm planning in buying a group of 10 fish, so i guess there'll be a chance to spawn them with a little patience.

I have bred them several time, they are avid egg eaters so it is best to have plenty of Java moss for them to place the eggs in, which makes it a little harder for them to find so many eggs to eat.

Ok, I have plenty of java moss, so no problem there! Are they easy to get into spawning mode? I am looking forward to recieve the fish next week...always exciting when something new arrive

They are not too difficult, good conditioning and regular water changes are the key factors.

Ok, I'll try some things and see how it goes...little changes can do the trick...a week ago I added at small power filter to my tank with C. davidsandsi and since then they've spawned every day except wednesday and sunday. They've never spawned before. Apparently they just needed more water movement.

Hmm...didn't get the C. albolineatus...out of stock...BUT...there was 8 C. pantanalensis swimming around...couldn't help it...had to get em
