Granulosis?

Post by clare »

In my gallery there are a few pictures I have posted. We think one of our fish is a Granulosis, but would appreciate any help with identifying it.
We bought it from a rubbish shop where we don`t go anymore who got a load of cats in that they didn`t know what they were.
We identified it as Pteradoras Granulosis but are not sure now because it isn`t growing very fast, actually we have 2. They are in an 8 x 2 x 2 so are not stunted but are still only around 10-12" after over a year with us.
In this time our red tail has grown 2 foot from being a postage stamp size!!!
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Clare

The picture is kinda dark, but it looks like a Pterodoras alright.
